Maundy Thursday we remember Jesus 'Last Supper' with his disciples. At this holy meal Jesus instituted the sacrament of the Eucharist. The heart in which Jesus presided over this meal displays for us an awe inspiring heart of service and humility.
This year we will come together in worship around a meal (provided by VIA). During the meal we will worship, pray, and reflect on the Last Supper. Part way through our meal we will take time to enter into the servant heart of Christ, remembering the moment when the creator of the universe "laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him." John 13.4-5 The meal will conclude with a celebration of the Eucharist.
