Psalm 113; Colossians 3.12-18

This week we spent time toghether as a community looking back over the rest of this series.  Colossians 3 is a beautiful but challenging pastoral encouagement to the church.  It reminds us of some key things regarding worship - "And whatever you do in word of deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." Colossians 3.17

  1. We worship by our posture toward God, but key to worship is also our posture toward one another
  2. Thankfulness is a foundational part of our worship
  3. While worship is far more than singing, singing has always been and continues to be an essential way in which we express our lives of worship
  4. All we are and all we do can be an expression of worship.

Here are the questions we discussed in small groups... I encourage you to take some time to contemplate them for your own life today:

  1. What does it look like for you to ‘Worship in Real Time’ right now?
  2. Identify a significant area of life for you right now (ie. work, hobby, relationship) - and share how that area can be for you a place of worship.
  3. Give Thanks!  Once everyone has had a chance to share, take some time to pray together giving glory and thanks to God.  Try and be specific:
    • Is there 1 thing about who God is that you want to worship Him for today
    • Is there 1 thing that He’s done/is doing for you right now that you want to thank Him for?
